“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” —Long Walk to Freedom: The Autobiography of Nelson Mandela

This has to be one of the best quotes ever! I struggle to imagine how someone locked away for over twenty years was able to love so widely. Makes me realize the implications of the work I do with children every day. Challenge assumptions, question stereotypes, get our children thinking about what they are saying and doing and why. Start a wave of change in your world.
